The graduated sizes of the nesting bowls are as follows - approximately 4” across the top, 5” across the top, and 6” across the top.

This beginner level kit is ideal for the crafty sewist who is ready to build and develop new sewing machine skills related to coiled rope basketry.

The Nesting Bowls Kit contains the following:

• 15 Yards of 3/16” 100% cotton rope (an exclusive Mountain Thread Company braid made in our home state of North Carolina) to make three round baskets

• Instructions for making three baskets - including tips for customizing the basket AND finishing detail

• 1 heavy duty sewing machine needle

• An introduction card with elaborated details for machine settings and thread selection

• Tips for fabric wrapping

In addition to the materials included in the kit, makers will need a sewing machine**, scissors, and 50 wt thread. Makers can also incorporate any of their own fabric remnants if desired (fabrics are not included).
