Three session class meeting on the First Friday of each month, October 6, November 3, & December 1, 2017, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
Sew up your scrap stash into a sumptuous star quilt with fun and easy-peasy techniques. Students will use die cutters and half- and quarter-square triangle rulers to quickly break down those odd-shaped scraps into useable shapes. Then students will compose blocks out of simple shapes and voila! A one-of-a-kind sparkling beauty created from the scraps lurking in your sewing space. This is a three-session workshop that will cover scrap mining, basic composition, and alternate block setting; the whirling star block and its four-patch star cousins; and the sawtooth star block and its variations.
The cost is for all three sessions.
