MACHINE QUILTING: PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION

This is a two-part class:

Part I:  April 19, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm

Part II: May 17, 1 to 4:30 pm

This class is for quilters just beginning to machine quilt as well as those with some experience. The class is designed to be low-key and non-intimidating. The focus is on learning about the key elements of batting, basting, and thread choices that will make students successful machine quilters, and having an opportunity to practice stitching exercises in class that students can repeat at home to gain proficiency. Melissa will provide practice materials for the first class, students just need to bring a machine (see the supply list for details) and thread.

The second class will be an opportunity for the students to work on a quilt of their own choice. Class discussion will center around ideas for quilting designs and there will be an opportunity for each student to work with Melissa in coming up with a plan for their quilt.
