Why doesn't Port Gamble or Quilted Strait's address show up on my GPS?

Sigh! We don't know and despite our best efforts and those of the of the other business owners in Port Gamble, we have not been able to change that.

A useful piece of information for you is that Port Gamble is a historic district, not a big town and only has two main streets, each a block long, so it is pretty hard to miss us once you get to Port Gamble.

How can I sign up for a class?

You may sign up by phone, by mail, or online. As soon as we receive payment for the class we will hold a spot in the class for you and get a supply list to you.

How will I know if a class has met minimum enrollment?

If you do not hear from us 5 days (or in some cases 30 days, see individual classes for cancellation policy) before the class is scheduled, then you can assume the class is going to be held. What if I can't attend a class I have signed up for?

For most of our classes you can receive a full refund up to 5 days before the class starts. There are some exceptions for teachers who travel some distance to teach the class and whose travel arrangements must be completed in advance. Each class listing on the website and the printed schedule will list the refund policy for the class and provide a link to the class refund details.

Why am I being charged sales tax?

We are required to charge sales tax for all orders that ship to Washington State destinations. Washington State has a destination based sales tax so you will be charged the sales tax rate for the address we are shipping your order to

What is the minimum amount of yardage I need to order on the website?

You can order as little as a 1/4 yard of most fabrics, and fabric can be ordered in any amount using the decimal equivalent ( for example to order 1 3/4 yards order 1.75)

What if you don't have enough fabric or inventory to fill my order?

We understand that the projects for some orders are dependent upon receiving the entire order - so we never ship a partial or incomplete order without your approval. We will consult with you by email or by phone to be sure you will be happy with what you receive.

How soon will my order arrive?

We ship orders Priority Mail or small items are shipped First Class. Most orders received on weekdays are shipped on on the day that they are received. We ship orders received on weekends on Monday, our little Post Office in Port Gamble is only open a few hours on Saturday. This means that orders in the continental US take 2-4 days to arrive and orders to Canada take 6-10 days to arrive. International orders can take up to 12 days to arrive.

How will I know when my order has been shipped?

You will receive an email when we receive your order and another email when your order is shipped. If you do not receive either of these two emails, check your junk mail files to be sure they have not landed there. If you do not find them at all, or are worried about the length of time your order has been in transit, be sure to contact us at info@quiltedstrait.com.

What if I don't like the fabric I ordered?

You may always return fabric that has not been washed or has not been exposed to pet hair or strong smells such as tobacco smoke. Please read our returns policy for complete details.
