Nishikiito Metallic Threads

Nishikiito Metallic Hand Embroidery threads are crafted in Japan using the same process as Japanese Gold Thread used in Kyoto's Wasou (traditional Japanese clothing). The thread is tightly wound, making it abrasion resistant. There are two kinds of thread, Numbers 1-23 are round, glossy threads, while Numbers 24-33 are a flatter thread where the contrast between the core thread and the films give a shiny, smooth appearance. Threads are made from polyester, nylon and cupro (refined cotton).
