Ellana™ is a 12wt 2-ply merino wool thread blended with acrylic (50/50) for added strength. The thread can be used for hand stitching or can be used in the machine. It offers rich color, a soft loft, and fray resistance. The twist coats wool appliqué edges, creating a nearly invisible whipstitch. With minimal fuzz, the thread ensures smoothness for intricate details.
To use Ellana (Wonderfil) wool-blend thread in your Elna machine, use a larger needle (90/14 or 100/16). This durable thread works well for machine quilting and embroidery on wool projects, but watch tension and needle choice for best results.
