At Quilted Strait we share your concern about how our online site and Point of Sale system use your customer information, and we are very serious about our role in protecting your data. Our policy is simple: we do not and will not ever provide any of your personal information to any third party.
When a customer visits our website, we collect the information provided on the check out form to complete the transaction. After the transaction completes, the data is not used for any other purpose. A customer may choose to register for an account, and in that case, the information is stored on a data cookie on the customer's hard drive. Any customer, however, may complete a transaction without registering for an account.
When a customer uses a personal credit card and the related information to purchase items on Quilted Strait's website, they move through Shopify, Authorized.Net, or Paypal interfaces. Both companies meet or surpass international standards for payment clearinghouses. Other customer information gathered online is protected by secure SSL technology. In the shop, the credit card information is routed through the secure Square portal, and in all cases, because of how the data is handled, none of our staff has access to your credit card number, and none of your credit card information is stored onsite.
We store your address, phone number, and email address in our shop Point of Sale system when you come in the shop, and we only do this if you have permitted us to do so. The information resides on a secure database that requires a series of passwords only available to employees. We only use your data to contact you by phone or mail about orders or classes.
