Get Creative with Sashiko, Tuesday, Oct. 6 AND Tuesday Oct. 13

If you have had an introduction to sashiko (like one of the prior Quilted Strait classes) or already do other types of embroidery, then this class is for you! This is an opportunity to create a sashiko piece of your own design (a table runner, a wall hanging, a framed piece...the possibilities are endless) using a variety of Sashiko stitches. Hilde has created a number of projects using Sashiko stitches and will be on hand to offer suggestions, advice (and graph paper), and will assist with choosing fabric and threads.

The goal of the class: 

1. That, by the end of the first (full) day of class, you will have created a design for a project that resonates for you.
2. And that, on the second day of the class, you will have worked on the project enough during the prior week to ask questions if they have arisen or just work toward completion of the chosen project with your fellow “sashiko-ers.”
