Have fun with this illusion! Solid boxes and empty frames appear to float in space. This 3D-looking quilt is several steps beyond the old favorite, Tumbling Blocks. And, it’s surprisingly easy--everything is strip-pieced. There are no set-in seams! The key to the illusion is paying attention to value(light/medium/dark). You can stick to the same size strips (all 2”) or experiment with different combinations of strip sizes to make varied-sized frames and or boxes. These blocks are like popcorn....you just can't stop.
