Your units will be exactly the right size, will have straight and square edges and the seams will be parallel to the edges. The Tool works with units that finish to the whole or half finished inch from one-half inch to six inches. The lines on the ruler are engineered to help find the exact center of the unit easily and line up with the seams so that trimming is easy and accurate.
