Old Growth Lecture, Sunday, May 4, 3pm

Colleen Wise has a background in civil engineering and horticulture. She came to art and quilting through the back door, and these influences continue to shape her work. Colleen is the author of "Casting Shadows: Creating Visual Dimension in your Quilts" from C&T Publishing. She has exhibited her work internationally and appeared on "The Quilt Show" several times.

Colleen's work has a sense of depth, and individual elements seem to float above the surface. Colleen's current passion, or obsession, really, is tree rings. She confesses that she can't stop making them. Join us at Quilted Strait for an intimate look at Colleen's Old Growth process and her current works, and take in a bit of her quilting wisdom.

This lecture is in our classroom at Quilted Strait, so tickets are limited.  Admission is $18 if purchasedbefore May 2. Any unsold spaces will be $24 at the door.
