Instructor: Linda Scibilia
Rope-crafted bowls, trivets, coasters, and more are not only fun to create but also make beautiful and functional gifts! In this class, you’ll learn the basics of making rope projects, including various ways to embellish and finish your projects. If you have made clothesline bowls in the past, the technique is similar, but using specially designed 3/8" rope, the finished product is much sturdier and easier to shape. Linda will provide tips, share her techniques, and show you some ways to create handles and embellishments. In class, you will make a flat project (a coaster or trivet) and a basket with or without handles.
This class has some very specific requirements for sewing machine settings and the rope material needed, so please read the requirements in the supply list carefully.
No experience working with rope is required, but students must be familiar with their sewing machine and comfortable making adjustments to stitch length. The instructor cannot help with sewing machines in class.
This class has a five day cancellation policy. By registering for the class you are agreeing to abide by all of the Class Policies including the refund policy.
